About This Guide

The first chapter serves as an Installation and Quick Start Guide. If you need in-depth information on any of the features in LIGHTEN UP you can consult one of the latter chapters.
  • Terminology

    • Throughout this documentation, symbols are used to represent keys on your keyboard. Key phrases may also he presented in special ways. This section describes key phrases so that you can familiarize yourself with them.
      Click
      The word Click has an uppercase C and means "Click on."
      [Enter]
      The symbol [Enter] is the Enter key on your keyboard.
      Event
      An Event is any item you enter in your Calendar. Events have specific dates and, optionally, times.
      Meal
      A Meal is a Calendar Event that you complete using items from the Foods list, which includes Foods, Named Meals and Recipes.
      [OK]
      This represents the button named OK. Examples of some other buttons that you Click are: Cancel and Add.
      [Tab]
      The symbol [Tab] is used to indicate the Tab key on your keyboard. Anytime you see [Tab], you also have the option to use the mouse and Click the field to place the cursor.
      Style Cues
      Bold text is used in this guide to introduce a new term or to specify an entry you need to make.
      Italic text is used to refer you to another section or chapter.
