Chapter 4 - Managers and Reports

You can review your confirmed Calendar events in the managers. You can also set nutritional targets. You can view and print your reports, and bring trend comparisons with you on your visits to your health professional.


  • Types of Reports


  • Reports consist of tables and graphs of your Calendar Events. Reports are selectable from the Contents screen of a manager. Once you are viewing a report, you can switch to a different time range, or you can print the report. Some reports let you change to other reports without going back to Contents. Only confirmed Events show in reports. If an Event does not appear in a report, check to see if the Event has been confirmed in the Calendarfor that day.

    Tables
    Tables list confirmed Calendar Events. You can view most types of Events by tables.

    Graphs
    Graphs show confirmed Calendar Events plotted over time. You can view most types of Events by line or bar graphs. Some graphs give you the option to compare two types of related Events in the same view over the same time range.

    Targets
    Many graphs have a line, or a shaded band, that represents a health goal target, or target range. Targets give visual indicators about how close your actual values are to your goals.

    Changing Report Options
    There are several dropdown buttons that control the information that appears in a report.
      Selecting Data to View
      The first button in the top row shows you what data you are viewing. Some reports allow you to Click this button to select other data. In an exercise graph, for example, you can choose which exercise to view by Clicking this button.
      The report may also have a button just below it (first button - second row) that you can select to choose specific aspects of the data to view . For example, if you view tile exercise skiing, cross-country, you can choose to view Distance or Duration.

      Comparing One Set of Data to Another
      The second button in the second row of some reports shows 'Compare To'. Select this to change the view to a split graph to compare one set of data to a related set of data over the same time range.

      Selecting the Type of Report to View
      The second button in the top row shows you the type of report you are viewing. Some reports allow you to Click this button tot select a different type of report, for example graph, table, and audit.

      Selecting a Time Range
      The third button in the top row of most reports allow you to change the time range for the report that you are viewing, for example day, week. month, quarter, and year.

      Changing to a Different Date
      The fourth button in the top row of most reports allow you to change the date for the report that you are viewing. When you Click this button, a mini selection Calendar appears. Choose the date that you want,, or Click 'Today' to select today's date. A pair of arrows allows you to move to adjacent time ranges. To move backward by one time range, Click the left arrow. To move forward by one time range, Click the right arrow.
    Special Reports and Analyzers
    Some Events are best viewed by combination graphs such as nutrient audit, meal analyzer, and weight analyzer. The Calorie Burner tells you how many calories are burned with respect to body weight and duration of a selected exercise.
      Nutrient Audit Graph (Food & Nutrition Manager)
      The Nutrient Audit graph is a bar graph of the top five foods that contribute to the total intake of a selected nutrient. Identify foods high in that nutrient over any time period. Use this information when meal planning, in order to make substitutions in your diet - to keep your nutrient totals on target.

      Calorie Burner (Weight Manager)
      The Calorie Burner tells you how many Calories you burn for an exercise with respect to duration anti body weight. Calories Burned are available for most Exercises on the Exercise list.

      Meal Analyzer (Food & Nutrition Manager)
      The Meal-Analyzer report is a table that shows all your meals with the top six nutrients for each food. and main selected timeframe, Day or Week. If you view the Day timeframe. you also see the foods in each meal.

      Weight Analyzer (Weight Manager)
      The Weight Analyzer report is a graph that summarizes all major factors that impact your diet and weight loss for any month: weight, diet pills, exercise, and calories, or any of 11 other nutrients.


  • Food & Nutrition Manager


  • The Food & Nutrition Manager helps you track the major aspects of eating well and losing weight. When you open the Food & Nutrition Manager, you see a graphic layout of all your diet-related reports. It includes a Meal Analyzer, Recipe and Meal Editors, Nutrient graphs, tables, and audits, meal times, and target preferences.

    Food & Nutrition Reports
    Food & Nutrition reports allow you to review and print Events in several ways and indicate your target levels by a line in the graphs. If your actual data is below your target range, it graphs below the dark line. You can set nutrient targets and define the display order of the top four nutrients in the Smart Health Calendar as described below.

    Setting User Preferences
    You can set your nutrient targets and set up your preference for the top four nutrients viewed in the Smart Health Calendar.
      Set Meal Times
      LIGHTEN UP allows you to preset meal and snack times. These become the default values in the Food view of the Calendar. You can change these values for any particular day from within the Calendar.

      Nutrient Settings and Targets
      • Set Targets
        Click the Target symbol and enter your targets in the dialog box. Click 'OK' when you have entered your targets. Your health professional can help you identify targets for the twelve nutrients that you can track.
      • Set Display Order
        LIGHTEN UP allows you to set the display order of twelve nutrients. Click the List symbol and select the nutrients you want to display. Use the up and down arrows to change the order of the list, moving those nutrients which are most important to you to the top of the list. The top four nutrients are displayed in the Smart Health Calendar as running totals for each food, meal, and day. The top two nutrients are shown in the Foods and My Foods lists within the Calendar. The top six nutrients are shown in the LifeTime Foodbook and in the Meal Analyzer.

    Meal Editor
    You can review a Named Meal, create a new Named Meal, or delete a Named Meal from the list. For more information, see The Meal Editor in the chapter,

    Recipe Editor
    You can review a Recipe, create a new Recipe, or delete a Recipe from the list. For more information, see The Recipe Editor in the chapter, Smart Health Calendar.


  • Weight Manager


  • The Weight Manager allows you to view and print reports for Weight, Diet Pills, Tests, and Exercises. It includes a Weight Analyzer and a Caloric Burner as well as graphs (Calorie Graph & Fat Audit) for key nutrients.

    Weight Analyzer (Weight Manager)
    The Weight Analyzer report is a graph that summarizes all major factors that impact your diet and weight loss for any month: weight, diet pills, exercise, and calories, or any of 11 other nutrients.

    Set Weight Target
    To change your weight target, select Jump / Weight from the menu bar to go to the Weight Manager. Click the Set Weight Target button to change your target weight (in lbs). Click 'OK' when done.

    Calorie Burner (Weight Manager)
    The Caloric Burner tells you how many Calories you burn for an exercise with respect to duration and body weight. Calories Burned are available for most Exercises on the Exercise list.
